The 19^th International Symposium on Hearing will take place in Lyon from the 19^th to the 24^th of June 2022. The meeting will be hosted at the Domaine Saint Joseph, on the hills overlooking the city. Details on how to reach the hotel can be found on the Travel page.

The ISH meeting focuses on hearing sciences, with emphasis on psychoacoustics, physiology of hearing, and auditory modelling, from the ear to the brain. The format of the meeting — a week in a cloistered environment — aims to foster scientific interactions between fields that normally merely co-exist. The symposium consists of oral presentations, which are accompanied of a written proceeding, as well as a few posters without proceeding. There are no parallel sessions and the attendees participate to all presentations.

The proceedings will be made available in the form of a preprint collection, which will not compromise the future publications of these papers in journals that accept preprints. Each contributing author will be asked to comment on two other papers before the meeting (a full review will not be required). The preprints will be opened to comments from everybody before and after the meeting.

Registrations are only opened to corresponding authors of accepted submissions and to prospective participants who have sent a request to attend. Registration information will be sent individually by the 9th of February. See details on the registration page.

Welcome Reception – Sunday 19^th June

To let everybody ease into the conference mood, the first dinner of the Symposium will be a cocktail on the beautiful grounds of the Domaine.

Gala Dinner – Wednesday 22^nd June

While the city of Lyon itself is famous of its gastronomy, the hills that surrounds it are famous for their wine. The Gala Dinner will take place at the Château la Gallée which is located in the village of Millery, in the middle of vineyards. Wine was already produced at la Gallée in the XV^th century! We will have the opportunity to visit the castle and learn about its vineyards, taste the organic wine produced on site, and enjoy some French gastronomy in the “Salle du Pressoir”, where the XVIII^th century wine press is located.
